About me

Hi, I’m Dina!

I would like to share bit of my own journey to healing, and how I came to develop this program.

After being diagnosed with a severely disabling somatic nervous system disorder called Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), where I lost my speech, developed sudden facial ticks, stroke like symptoms, chronic pain and non-epileptic seizures, I was not prepared to also be diagnosed with 4 autoimmune disorders at the same time. The neurologist told me it happens to people who have had a lot of trauma. I did not view myself as "traumatized" and felt mildly insulted at first, but that faded when I had nothing to lose but look into what trauma does to our physiology, as I was living it. With few options for treatment available, I decided it was time to take it into my own hands to investigate until I found the missing pieces for healing.

I was fortunate to find a trauma informed therapist who mentioned I could benefit from somatic practice. Finding someone who did somatic practice was not easy, as I could not find someone who specialized in what I was experiencing.  After reading peer reviewed articles, medical journals, and taking every bit of information I could from the team I was working with, I finally made all the connections and started implementing my own program. Ten years after my first symptoms developed, now with mounds of research, trial and error in tow, and despite being told my condition was severe,  I remain clear of any autoimmune disease, and my neurological symptoms are a shadow of what once was.  I was in disbelief at the speed of efficacy somatic practice had in relieving symptoms, and I know what teams and methods should be involved in complete and total healing.

In understanding the links between the somatic and autonomic nervous systems, I was able to put the pieces together  to understand somatic pain, and even found the diagnosis of FND to be my body's blessing, as it directed me to many unresolved memories which were silently controlling my decision making, as well as my physiology.  I also found just like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, autoimmune conditions have been shown to have root causes which are psychosomatic in nature.

Now, as a certified somatic practitioner, veteran and advocate who was also on the struggle, I am both humbled and grateful to teach and support others the powerful knowledge and techniques to help others make their own connections.

All that I didn't have access to, all that I needed but had to fight to find and achieve, I am giving in this program in a one-stop-shop.

Healing is realizing you must master the language of your own body, and expose the secrets behind chronic pain, and silent emotions.

I know the pain, the frustration, the loneliness silent suffering causes.

You are not alone.

My Methods

Learn the Language of Your Body.

The body often uses pain to communicate deeper sentiments, to included calling attention to stored traumatic memories as part of a neurological, subconscious level,  and is calling to those with a need for regulation and reconnection.
